not so BLECH/Happy New Year!!!!

So, today is a better day than yesterday, PRAISE GOD! I've come to the conclusion that on this last Friday in 2005--um, excuse me WHERE did the time go???--I'm going to decide, like I've HAD to do all year, to be happy! So, today I'm not SO BLECH! I'm pretty ok. I just came from lunch with my dad. I requested a "Dad & Tonyette" only lunch! Just because! It was good! We talked and I told him that it's all his fault that my life is so tough! LOL! Calm down! Before all you readers are like, "MY GOD, SHE DID WHAT?" I told him that I am 26 and life is tough and that he didn't tell me it would be! (I told my mother the same thing a few weeks ago!) It was nice! But I'm back here (at work, SHEESH!) trying to make this deadline for my team leader! I think I MIGHT be able to have something to give him by the end of the day! Gracious! But thank God for a job! Also, before I forget, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wow, it's almost 2006! I can't bel

BLECH!!!!!!

You ever have one of those days? You know, those days were you wake up and you feel ok. Not great or piss poor, but ok. Like you can at least face the day without any mood-enhancing drugs (prescribed or not, your choice!) and you're ok with being "ok" because hey, you could be worse. But then as the day progresses, it just gets worse and worse! Well today, for me, is one of those days! To today, I say BLECH! I'm ready to go home and NOTHING for the next couple of hours! I don't want to be here at work. I will probably be bored at home. I don't feel like going out (because I don't really have any money) and it's rainy anyway! I won't feel like doing housework! I feel another BLECH coming on! BLECHHH! People keep asking me what I'm doing for New Year's Eve. I could go to church, but don't want to. I don't especially want to be home doing nothing but then again I'm not trying to be partying too hearty on NYE either! BLECH! Hey, may

ANTM Cycle 5 Reunion

So, ok, last night I decided to watch the "where are they now" episode of ANTM for the most recent cycle! WHY did I do it? First of all, Tyra is so excited about her new talk show that she decided to have the reunion episode on the set of the Tyra Show! Um, BOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Like I said, I was expecting this to be like a "where are they now" type of show. but it was more like the Real World Reunion shows! I didn't really like that! Instead of just following the girls & seeing what they are doing now, Tyra decides to talk about their feelings since seeing the show and CRAP like that! Get outta here! It was SO wack! And I was even FURTHER upset about the fact that Nicole won! BOOOOOOO! I still cannot believe that she won! Ugh! She's high fashion? Really? Wow! I will say that seeing this show did, however, make me like Coryn more! LOL! She's funny! But maybe that's because I like ignorant stuff! But she's still very masculine looking! It's act

Thought I had lots to say

A few times in the past few days, I really felt like I had something to say. I wanted to hurry here and post, but it seems I always got distracted! I'll try to remember and give sub-headings. for some reason, I think this will be a long one! The Tyra Show Um...Tyra Banks has a talk show? Now, I think she's COOL and all, but just COOL! I mean, would I watch her talk to guests for a hour? Doubtful! I keep trying to watch a whole hour but it never seems to happen! First of all, the topics she has, give me a break! And the runway...I mean, I GUESS that's cute but, um, no thanks! Oh, now I remember WHY I wanted to comment on the Tyra Show. Was ATTEMPTING to support her once again, and Vivica A. Fox came on there! I should have started boycotting her FROM THAT ALONE! So, I'm watching and Vivica's STILL talking about "Curtis" (aka 50 Cent!) PLEASE, Vivica, HONEY, let it go! She was talking about how she had to listen to "Strength, Courage and Wisdom" ov

MJB

Anyone who really knows me, knows that I LOVE me some Mary J. Blige! Well, I was one of the sad ones who was almost upset because she got so happy and drama-free! Dang, where were the songs like "My Life" and "Reminisce" and "I'm Going Down"? But...tonight (for the third night in a row!) I'm up past 1am. I decided to turn on BET After Dark! I really like watching this show because for the most part, there are no FOOLISH videos or songs on here! Plus, everything is mellow! Good show, BET! (for a change! to me, best show since Midnight Love...the OLD Midnight Love!) So the first video tonight/this morning was Mary J.'s new video. Maybe it's called "Can't be without you" & the video features Terrence Howard! I already kind of liked the song, but seeing the video just solidified it for me! I really hope that everyone agrees with me that Mary may be BACK behind this one!! Ok, besides the fact that these days, Mary ALWAYS look

I'm so thankful!!!!!!!!!!

So, it's Saturday and Thanksgiving was Thursday. Ok, aside from the WONDERFUL food and FANTASTIC desserts, I was really happy Thursday, just to be alive and well to see another Turkey Day. I had a house to wake up in, a family to eat with and a car to drive me from place to place! So, Thursday, I was grateful! But two things have happened since Thanksgiving day that have made me more than grateful. I've since realized that I'm BLESSED and for that, I'm forever appreciative! First , yesterday, I was off work--woke up dizzy and kept drifting in and out of sleep--so one of the few hours that I was actually woke, I watched MTV's True Life: I'm Dead Broke . WOW! It followed three young people: DeMarlon, 21; Alexa, 18; Sandra 22. All three were struggling to deal with poverty! To see people who have literally half (or less) than what I have, but still are willing to fight to make it really moved me. I mean, I was crying and everything!! The guy DeMarlon was determine

It's almost Thanksgiving...

In years past--especially my college years--as soon as summer was over, I'd be on a countdown to Thanksgiving! This year, not so! Today is Tuesday & Thursday is Thanksgiving, but I'm rather un-excited! When I was at UMES, I'd be like "only 2 months and 16 days until I get to EAT REAL FOOD!" But this year, I'm like "it's whatever!" I wonder what that's about. Is it because I'm getting older? Is it because this year was rather tough and I couldn't even think as far as the next week, let alone months? Hmm...either way, thinking about my mother's cornbread stuffing, I think I can get a little excited now!

My young boyfriends!

I am watching the Vibe awards right now! (they are SO INCREDIBLY WACK that it actually hurts my feelings but I continue to watch, so what does that say about me!) So, anyway, Kyla Pratt and Robert Ri'chard were presenting! Um HELLO to Robert Ri'chard! He's definitely a yummy young thing! So I was like, "you know, I need to post my young boyfriends' list!" In order to qualify as a "young boyfriend" the young fellow in question must be at least 18 (not trying to be Roberta Kelly or anything like that!) but is at least 3 years younger than I. I don't think I have a number one. There are so many YOUNG fine guys that it's actually making me UPSET because I'm like, will I have to marry younger? It's looking like a YES! Ok, here goes: Omarion: my goodness. He's just the sexiest little thing out there! (If I had to choose a number one, it would probably be him. EXCEPT that he has baby hair! My goodness! Hopefully now that's he'

Cars that go boom...

Yep, so me BEING me, I did the research b/c I couldn't remember the group name of Tigra and Bunny! They were called L'Trimm! Wow, their two "hits" were Grab It...and the aforementioned song! LOL! I remember first of all that I used to think they were wack, even back then!!! I found out that the first album (with the two known songs) was released in 1988, so I was like 9. So for me to think they were wack in the 80s , they MUST have been wack! Ugh! I remember I used to always imitate the "we're Tigra...and Bunny...and we like the boom!" part for laughs! Did anyone know that they released 3 albums? Wow!

Dear Western

This post is SUCH a copy of my friend Toya's post about our high school, Western! There are some pretty interesting characters that I came across and the funny part is that those people were PAID to be there! Of course I'm referring to the teachers! Here are a few of my most/least favorite ones: (9th grade) Mr. Gogel: my algebra teacher. He was just funny. First of all, he KNOWS he was the dang Oriole bird but I guess he was supposed to keep the identity of the O's bird a secret. So whenever we asked, he always gave the dumbest answers! Even after we SAW HIM in a freakin' commercial! And I didn't like him because I guess I wasn't prepared enough for math (coming from CALVERTON) so when he asked for questions and I said I didn't understand things, he'd say "that's not a question!" Duh, OBVIOUSLY it's not a FREAKIN' question but I don't understand!" Plus he was just quirky and it was kind of funny! My English teacher: it'

Season finale

Uh, yeah, Laguna Beach's season finale was tonight. Um, it was pretty cool; the different kids were leaving for school and whatnot. Um, ok. Tears and hugs and whatever! It was a cool episode and the Most Unworthy Wench was actually showing emotion!! I guess she was sad to be leaving home and all that! At the end of the episode, they showed LC on TRL. She announced that their was a surprise: a season three. Wow, how thrilled was I UNTIL they showed a preview of the new season. Yeah, about that...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! The new cast is WACK! It's season 2's juniors and the only one we know is Cami, who we saw for like 2 seconds when she was Jason's DISSED prom date! LOL! What? OH, but they did show my young boyfriend, Talan, so I will be at least trying to snatch PEEKS at the show every now and again! Also, they have another show called "The Hills" and it's basically following Lauren around. Um...nah, thanks! I mean, I'd watch that over the 3rd season of LB,

Patti Patti

Ok, is it just me or Patti Labelle a diva levels above ANYONE else, a woman whom all women should aspire to be like? Ok, first, I was watching "Living it Up with Patti Labelle." That is such a good show, simply because it's all about Patti. The episode last night was her with Mo'Nique at G. Garvin's restaurant. (I also LOVE Mo'Nique! BTW). Mo'Nique was talking about how she saw Patti at some show when she was like 17 (I turned the channel on a little late and missed some of it) and Patti allowed a fan to come up on stage and get a hug. Mo'Nique was saying how impressed she was and how she loves Patti. Patti, wonderful woman that she is, was so touched that she had tears! Patti is the freaking WOMAN! She was so encouraging! And she had brought Mo'Nique a gift! Ms. Labelle is IT! Then, I was watching the tribute to her on UPN. Uh...besides the fact that she had a "pound of Vaseline" on her legs--according to my mother--Patti looks phenomena

Finally...

I had missed last week and this weeks's Laguna Beach, but WHOO HOO on my relaxing day off yesterday, I saw this week's episode! and guess what happened, it totally made me an LC fan! Who would have thought, right? And it made me the PRESIDENT of the "Kristin is a wench!" NON-fan club! Ugh, how dare Kristin go to Lauren's party--LATE--not speak to the person whose party AND HOUSE it is, leave early and have Stephen leave with her (and Alex) and AGAIN NOT SPEAK to LC! Ugh!! Feel my disgust, Kristin! Feel it!! In other news, it's like 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and this is like the first year that I haven't been COUNTING DOWN to eating! I don't know what that means. Maybe I've been too preoccupied to think about it! Oh well, I think it's time to start an official countdown! So...15 days until Turkey Day! Whoo hoo! Maybe I'll actually do some of the cooking this year!

my current jam (shamefully)

You know how you have that song, or those songs, that you just LOVE but feel a little funny about listening to, let alone loving! You know what I mean, those songs by artists that you promise to yourself to HATE, or about subjects that you swear you'll never listen to, or some combination of both. Well, I have a new "jam of shame!" It's "Shake" by the Ying Yang Twins featuring Pitbull! This song, SADLY is my JAM! I mean, like I LOVE it! I think it's because it has the "din daa daa" song (the club song & song from Breakin' 2: Electric Bugaloo) in it! So maybe the clubhead/fan of that movie -- don't joke me! that movie was IT back in the day! -- in me feels COMPELLED to love that song! I just be jammin' to it! (yes, that was bad grammar. Ok, but so what. It's not like Mr. Rey is grading this!) Why do I feel so bad about liking it, um...hello, it's by the freakin Ying Yang Twins!! Seriously! I don't think that ANYTHING

Don't hate the game! (again)

OK, so I was actually up early this morning and I was watching Bishop T.D. Jakes on TBN (they're doing their Praise-A-thon) and he was speaking and in his sermon, he said "Don't hate the game, hate the player!" I was like "here we go AGAIN!" And as I screamed ARE YOU SERIOUS, I said "ok, maybe it really IS me! and maybe the saying really IS "don't have the game, hate the player!" Or--since I wasn't paying too much attention for a second because I was ironing or something--he changed it around purposely! Please, Lawd, let that be it! Otherwise, I'm just all confused by this. Now I realize that once again the speaker of this particular phrase wasn't someone who was considered to be "hip" or ya know, like "down" or whatever, but still, if you are going to USE a slang phrase, shouldn't it be used properly? or, is it REALLY me? Have I really been thinking, incorrectly, that the phrase was the other way aroun

My three daughters!

First and foremost, I MUST commend all mothers! (and fathers! People who actually PARENT are IT!) Whoo! Forget Mother's Day, there needs to be Mother's MONTH! (Same for Father's day!) Having children is no joke! I already know that, but whenever I decide to play "mommy for a minute" I'm reminded of that! My goodness! Between last night & earlier today, I had three little ladies with me. Last night (Friday) I had a 6-year-old and an 8-year-old! My sister came over and kept our company and we had a ball, but MY GOODNESS! After picking them up, we got dinner (Taco Bell) and then ice cream (Baskin Robbins. One of them had never been to Baskin Robbins. OK, WHAT?! I HAD to correct that!) We came to my house and ate. My sister joined us and then we had a coloring party! (Tiff and I felt "some kind of way" to be in the house coloring on a Friday night at 22- and 26-years-old.) After that, I had some things to do (dance ministry-related) so the other thre

LB/Godiva/trips!

This is another one of those "several blog entries rolled into one" entries! Laguna Beach last night Of course, as it is Tuesday, I watched Laguna Beach last night! It was graduation day in Laguna on last night's episode. First question: what time do they have graduation? They were just CHILLING, getting ready. Then, by the time they actually left graduation, it was dark outside. That seems odd to me, considering I had to be at Western at the cracking of dawn, or at least it felt that way at the time! Secondly, they were wearing WHATEVER under their gowns! Now I realize that again I went to Western and we have our own special dress code for graduating (a fact I'm QUITE proud of) but even at UMES, they were like, "look THIS LIST is what you can AND CANNOT wear under your gown!" And how about one mom's advice to her daughter--who was a 2005 graduate of Laguna Beach High (or whatever the name is) and was upset (because her gown was so big)--was "well

Oprah's on!

So, I am home while Oprah is on! Why is it that whenever I watch Oprah I'm either CRYING or I HATE the people in the audience (who get all the good stuff)? I don't see Oprah that often because of the hours that I work, but it's like does she have any "regular" topics. I'm either sad or JEALOUS after seeing her show. Um, ok and Tyson (Beckford the model) was on here, among other guests. He was in a near-fatal accident recently and was just talking about that. He was all crying and everything. I'd just like to say that he is still pretty fine! It's about to go off. It's about 4:50p! Oh, and no, don't be impressed. I DIDN'T get to work early enough to be home to see it. I decided to take half a "ME!" day! I claim I'm going to do dishes and wash clothes, but really I've been sitting in front of the computer and near the TV for the last hour! Sheesh! And I have a hair appointment at 6! Whoo hoo! (I'd been wearing my FABULOU

LB: last week's and this week's

OK, so I am watching the rerun of last week's Laguna Beach and I have MUCH to say! First of all, if Talan wasn't already my BOYFRIEND, how he asked Kristin to the prom would have made him! He is the sweetest thing and it's WENCHES like the unworthy one (aka Kristin) who make it hard for the NICE girls! He had roses and candles...ok, what? We ARE talking about PROM right? But the whole "pranks for prom" thing, I am so not with it! I'd be so unamused! Like how Taylor's date had her car almost towed, NOT funny! And um...did Jeff and maybe the other dude's name was Jeff too, anyway did they like air kiss? Um...looks like it and YIKES! And how about Jason who I can't STAND! Why ask someone to the prom JUST to ignore and "hook up" with that freaking Alex M.--another one I can't stand. Lastly, I realize that there MUST be some difference in culture when it comes to the prom. All the girls wore sundresses and were like doing their own hair an

Just felt like it

I haven't posted in a couple of days and just wanted to post, so I'll just ramble on about a few things. I'll try to ramble in an organized way though, so I'll provide subheadings. (This will probably be LONG!) In Memory of... Today is October 13, 2005. My maternal grandmother, Naomi Griffin, died 10 years ago on this date. It's funny because I feel completely different now than I thought I'd feel all those years ago. I am absolutely ok. Of course I MISS her very much, but it's not like I "can't go on" or anything like that. My aunts, uncle and mother (from the last time I saw each of them) all seem to be "fine." Of course, that is relative because my family is CRAZY! :--) I used to think that we'd all come undone. That we'd all lose our minds (at least us "older" ones, like the ones who were, at the time, 12 and up.) But we are all ok! Most of us are still pursuing our relationships with the Lord. (my MaMa was our

Missed it last night

Last night was PROM NIGHT in Laguna Beach and I missed the new episode! I am very upset! But it's ok. Because it comes on MTV I KNOW it'll be on AGAIN and AGAIN before next Monday's new episode! I also missed the My SS16 with Gerald Levert's daughter but I'm not pressed about that, as much!

Happy Columbus Day

Today is October 10. It's the second Monday in October. You know what that means, Columbus Day! Well, if you've never heard of it, or never kept up with it, DON'T feel bad! I didn't even realize that it was a national holiday until I started working for the federal government 4 years ago. Not only is it a national holiday, but it's a FEDERAL holiday! So that means I get a day off for, in my opinion, nothing! Whoo hoo! But you know what's so ironic, this morning I woke up at about 5:25. (it was mostly because I fell asleep at a friend's by mistake WITH my contacts in. and when I got home, I did go back to sleep!) Now the funny thing is that on a "normal" work morning, IF I wake up before 8am, I feel PROUD! How ridiculous! Oh well...Columbus Day, one of the perks of having a good gov't job!

The Cow bka Dairy Fresh

I just felt that it was totally time for a FOOD-related post!! I am always saddened by the end of summer b/c it means the close (for the season) of places like Rita's Italian Ice and more importantly Dairy Fresh. I think that Rita's is a wonderful place, but since I have discovered Dairy Fresh, I just don't love Rita's as much! So, tonight will be one of my "final trips"--even though they probably won't close for another month (they stay open longer because they are the GREATEST!) But it just makes me sad to know that soon I won't be able to ride all the way up Reisterstown Road, eventually changing to Main Street (it makes the change in Reisterstown) to get my good ole gelati! Did I mention that I live in (basically) upper Park Heights (in Baltimore city, just in case my blog has gone national or international! Hey, I'm funny! It COULD happen!) and I make the drive to Reisterstown (about 25 or so minutes) whenever the urge hits me to get a gelati

I feel convicted...

OK, this post is a shout-out to my friend Toya. She has a post on her blog talking about how we shouldn't use the word "ghetto" when we really mean other words. I was re-reading my previous posts and I felt TOTALLY convicted ! (such a CHURCH girl phrase!) I should have said that the young lady who was allowing her friend to "attend" the Hip Hop Honors via cellular phone was using actions that were completely inappropriate for that particular setting, being that she was on national television. I should have said that she, Miss "you don't have a ticket, hey I got a cell phone so you can still 'come'" was using bad cell phone etiquette. I should have said that I find it quite RUDE that she was just holding her cell phone in the air! I should have any of this, rather than to just call her "ghetto"! Thanks for checkin' me, Toya! And yes, as a person who is (proud to be) from the ghetto, I should DEFINITELY know better! I mean, I

Don't hate the game! (Last night's LB)

So of course I watched my new favorite MTV show last night, Laguna Beach , and of course there was MUCH that I could discuss. Every week this show provides at least one shriek of "ARE YOU SERIOUS??" from me and this week proved no different! Jessica (who I just feel sorrier and sorrier for each episode!) and maybe Alex M. (I think, but I don't remember. It was one of them "blonde" chicks!) were having a conversation. So Alex M. (or whoever she is) says "what is that saying? 'Don't hate the player, hate the game'. Is that how it goes?" To which Jessica replies, "no, it's 'Don't hate the game, hate the player.'" At this point, I cry "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" to the TV. Because Jessica said it like she was absolutely right, like she was the end-all be-all on this particular brand of slang. Like her friends look to her as the "I don't only speak VALLEY GIRL" member of the crew! She said it like, &qu

did the research...

and it appears that Russell is older than Rev. Run (as I thought anyway!) what I didn't realize is that, according to www.imdb.com (which is one of my main "sources" of information, as I am QUITE the Internet stalker) Rev. Run is NINE years younger than Rush! (I know, I TOOK you BACK with the "Rush" nickname!) I mean, does anyone else think they look like they are that far apart? I mean, Russell is 48 which means the Rev is only what? 39? Oh my GOSH! I honestly don't believe that. I'll have to do some more research. That just seems so wrong!

One more thing...

About the Hip Hop Honors . En Vogue sang! Ok, it was pretty brief (because they were performing "Whatta Man" with Salt-N-Pepa) but to see Cindy, Dawn, Maxine and Terry all together was pretty exciting!

VH1's Hip Hop Honors

Ok, so it's 1:56 in the morning. Because I was ridiculously tired after cooking a nice Sunday dinner, I took an almost FIVE-hour nap! (It was completely unintentional!) Anyway, so when I woke UP at midnight , I figured there'd be nothing good on. Lo and behold, at 12:30, VH1's Hip Hop Honors were replaying! Whoo hoo because I hadn't seen them yet! Well, the first person they were honoring was LL Cool J. And there was a performance by Nelly and Ciara. Well, I was completely skeptical of Nelly and Ciara (both who I like, actually, but I'm just skeptical sometimes!) Well, they proved to be great and made me a believer! Nelly really captured the 80s LL! He performed "I'm bad" and it was almost like watching the video for that song! Plus, he looked a little sexy! I'm now offically ON Nelly! Then, he and Ciara did "Doin' it" and they were very good! I thought it was good that they were able to add their own flair (for example, instead of r

The Da Vinci Code

At the suggestion of my friend Alyson, I borrowed the Da Vinci Code (by Dan Brown) from the library. I admittedly didn't know anything about it, except that some Christians were basically trying to ban it and stop the movie from being made. Having read it, I can understand why some would want to do that (I think that's a little extreme but I can at least understand)...BUT the book was fantastic! It was one of the best books I've ever read in my entire life. Plus, it made me want to change jobs and become a cryptanalyst!! (I'm really thinking about that now.) I was figuring out some of the passwords and stuff. I won't say what it's about but I will suggest that EVERYONE read it. (oh yes, it's 426 pages. or something like that. at least the hardback one is, but don't let that stop you!!) I thought I had more to say, but I forgot...Oh yes, this Saturday, if it crosses your mind and you are a person who prays, please pray for me this Saturday. I'll be w

Addendum (to my crossover boyfriends list!)

In my excitement to publish my list of all the sexy MENS that I'd cross that racial line for, I COMPLETELY forgot number 4: Orlando Bloom!! Orly, sorry I missed ya honey! What was I thinking? Ok, now I must admit, that unlike Paul Walker--I've seen all his movies--I don't think I've ever seen one movie that even features Orlando Bloom! I know, I know! Seriously though, NO, I haven't seen any Lord of the Rings movies, or Pirates of the Caribbean . I claimed I was going to see Troy just because he was in it, but nope, didn't do that. Maybe this new movie with Kirsten Dunst will be the one that turns the tide! But the fact that I've seen him in NOTHING goes even further to prove his YUM factor! I don't even know where I've really seen him. Maybe previews and interviews, but that's about it! Anyway, he's another cutie on the crossover list!

My list of crossover boyfriends (trying to be PC here!)

After numbers 1-3, they are in no particular order! Also, please know that when it comes to my BOYFRIENDS, I don't need backup. If I am the only person on the planet who thinks someone is cute, that's ok with me!) 1) Paul William Walker IV! I LOVE Paul Walker (and in case you are clueless and live somewhere that I don't wanna live, he's probably most famous for the Fast and the Furious movies!) Any movie that Paul is in, I MUST see, at least once! Yes, sometimes they SUCK but hey, at least I get to see 90 or more minutes of his beautifulness! (mini sidebar: MANY hats OFF to the casting director of 2 Fast 2 Furious! My goodness! Paul Walker, Tyrese, Ludacris and a few minutes of Michael Ealy! YES! Ok!! I didn't even care what the movie was about once I saw who was in it!) 2) Nick Lachey! I have already claimed that I WILL be his second wife! (and my name will be Tonyette Lache Lachey! LOL!) C'mon all the evidence points towards Nick marrying me. A. How long is

Laguna Beach on 9/26/025

I completely LOVE this show! (I know I said that in the last post, but so what!) This show is so completely funny to me! Oh, and Talan is officially on the list of my CROSSOVER boyfriends! (I will post my "crossover list" in another post!) When he was fixing that totally unworthy Kristin dinner, I was like, "Talan, you should be mine!" Which brings me to Kristin! Honey, if you know that Talan likes you and you know that Stephen freakin' LOVES you, what are you doing? The faces that she makes when she's with each of them is so funny, but if I saw the show later and was either one of them, I'd be upset with her! And in the previews for the episode next week, she "hooks up" with another guy! But hey, at least she's being honest. She has told both Talan and Stephen that she doesn't want a boyfriend, so I gotta give her that! How about the "MOST FAKE CHICK IN THE UNIVERSE" award goes to Casey! Sheesh, everything about her is fake

New Favorite Show

I have a new favorite show on MTV. For me, this show is must-see TV. It's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County . I LOVE this show. I get upset when I miss the new episodes. (it comes on Mondays at 10 EST) but MTV being MTV, I can ALWAYS catch a repeat! I started watching it one day when I was being lazy in a hotel room in Dallas. I was at a dance ministry conference and couldn't move another muscle. So I flipped on the TV. Channel-surfing, I stopped on Laguna Beach. I watched like 4 episodes back-to-back and I've been hooked ever since. The show is about some RICH kids who live in Laguna Beach, California! It's a real-life show. The kids are not actors. I LOVE this show because these kids (seniors in high school and freshmen in college, now that it's the second season) live lives so FAR removed from ANYTHING I'm used to that I'm always completely intrigued, hypnotized, even stupefied by their actions! First of all, I NEVER see parents on the show. Secondl

TGI(P)F

(I am going to try to post at least twice a week. I can't promise daily right now but I'll do what I can!) Ok, having said that, TGIPF! (In case you are wondering, the "P" stand for PAY!) Whoo hoo! I love payday!! Payday is the reason I come to work every day. (Sad but true. I'm currently seeking other employment. No, not actively, but I'm about to change all that!) Sure, I pay bills the INSTANT that I get paid--sometimes I send checks out in just enough time that they'll arrive on payday--and SURE I've got a few bills that are just waiting for my proper attention, but at least on pay Friday, I can treat myself. I can have lunch AND a snack! I can have dinner AND dessert! On pay Friday, I can go to BP and say those three beautiful words, "Fill up, please!" Ok, that last one wasn't completely true b/c I rarely, if ever, use cash to get gas! But you get what I'm saying! Pay Friday is a good day for me! I get so happy about getting paid

Why I (will) talk about food SO much

In case you are like "dang, this girl LOVES food!"--and if you aren't like that, you probably WILL be--or even "why does she have links to Godiva and the Food Network?" I just thought I'd mention that I intend to become a pastry chef in the near future! So my "job" will be food, well dessert very soon. Plus, on top of that, I LOVE to eat. Let's be real! My friend Tyesha told me that she didn't know anyone who got as excited talking about food as me. I can accept that! I mean, I really enjoy food. I feel like this, if we must eat to live, and if I intend to live until at least my late 90s, I'd better get to enjoying what it is that I eat. (But I do have a friend who loves to talk about food with me! I won't say any names, but she's a NEWLYwed! She knows who she is!)

First post

Ok, why did I decide to create a blog? 1) Everybody's doing it *said like a whiny little teenager* 2) I LOVE blogs!!! 3) My sister said that I'm very random and that I have a tendency to ramble. I figure this would be the BEST place to do that!
