Happy 6 months to me and my BC

Yes, it's a long title, but that's the subject of this post! I did my BC ("Big chop" for who may not know) six months ago! I no longer have any chemicals to "relax" or straighten my hair! I stopped getting perms about a year ago, I think?! But I got all the permed hair cut out in February. So, for a while there, I had about 4" of hair! It's been an interested six months to say the least, chock full of unsolicited opinions, offensive comments and rude looks, but I'm totally happy with my decision! (I did have a lapse of "I love it" for a minute!) My hair has grown in leaps and bounds and I'm already comfortable enough to have worn my bush--tamed by a headband! No, I didn't go full Angela Davis on 'em--to an interview! I'm proud that I'm doing my best, still, to accessorize and not look like a boy! I think I'm in a groove, now! My friend Ja'Neé has become my twist/braid-ologist! She's the bomb! Now, all I need to do is obtain more flowers, headbands, accessories, etc!

Changing

So...I have decided that for REAL this time, I want to cut my hair...specifically like Rihanna's cute lil bob cut!! I want it cut like that AND colored!! It will be cute...I will be cute WITH it and I'm excited!! For a while, I was "afraid" to cut my hair, but why...seriously, it's JUST hair!! Bright as a highliter!! Really?

Warning: the following post is about tinkle aka urine! If you care not to know about this part of my life, please exit this blog now! (Or read a few other posts!) OK, now that I've given the warning...I have a question: Is anyone else UTTERLY DISTURBED by the fact that vitamins cause your tinkle (calling it "pee" seemed so juvenile in writing, although that is TOTALLY what I call it in "real life!") to be FLUORESCENT? I mean...honestly, I'm sure that if I took my vitamins later in the day and I went to the bathroom at night, then I'd probably NOT need to turn the light on. I'm rather bothered by the fact that something that is supposed to supplement and help my body causes another bodily function to alter, for lack of a better way to say it, in such a way! My nurse practitioner told me, but when she said "the first time" I thought she meant just that, the FIRST time! Not the FIRST tinkle EVERY DAY after I take my vitamins!! Yikes!! It's

The Real McCoy

(I started this forever ago! How about if I ACTUALLY post it!) You know what, lately, I've been having lots of discussions that have caused me to realize that I have a new outlook on relationships!
