Changing

So...I have decided that for REAL this time, I want to cut my hair...specifically like Rihanna's cute lil bob cut!! I want it cut like that AND colored!! It will be cute...I will be cute WITH it and I'm excited!! For a while, I was "afraid" to cut my hair, but why...seriously, it's JUST hair!! It will grow back...and if I can't wait, in this day and age, I can BUY some hair!! So I'm going to do it...this comes on the heels of my decision to ACTIVELY change the way I look...for the better! Normally, I pride myself on the "appearance isn't everything" way of thinking! And while that statement is TRUE, it's still SOMETHING!! So, I want to be proactive in changing my look!! The Real McCoy

(I started this forever ago! How about if I ACTUALLY post it!) You know what, lately, I've been having lots of discussions that have caused me to realize that I have a new outlook on relationships! Well, more like a new way of thinking when it comes to how I'll enter my next relationship! What is this great, deep & wondrous revelation you ask? Well, simply that I've decided that I'm going to be ME! This revelation came from a number of different places: talking to one of my dance ministry sisters, a comment from my friend Anita, a blog posting from my fellow TRINITY sista and talking to my sister today! Rhetorical?

Just had a random thought I had as I called Five Guys to get the price of a "little cheeseburger". When you call a place like Five Guys or Pizza Hut or anywhere that is a business that accepts calls from customers, when they say "can you please hold?" is it actually a rhetorical question? or better yet, is it actually a demand posed as a polite question...which is just "polite" for "I have something else to do right now so I can't talk to you, so HOLD! If you don't like it, TOUGH!! At least we 'asked'?" Because think about it, when the voice on the other end of the phone asked me if I would please hold...what were my options? I could have said, "No! I won't hold! " but where would that have gotten me? Would she have actually stopped ringing up people in my ear and heard my question? I highly doubt it!
